I'am Chef J. Anthony—a Bronx-born, Puerto Rican-raised culinary artist redefining Caribbean cuisine. My journey started in my grandmother’s kitchen, where the scent of sofrito and the rhythm of salsa music shaped my love for food. After years of cooking professionally, launching a beloved Puerto Rican restaurant in Los Angeles, and earning national TV recognition, I took a leap of faith. Now, I’m bringing the flavors of home to Reno, introducing my culture one plate at a time. I’ve built my career on creativity, resilience, and a deep love for sharing the stories behind my food. From catering to content creation, from seasoning blends to an upcoming food truck, my goal is to make Puerto Rican cuisine a household name—no matter where I am. Every dish I create carries history, passion, and a taste of the island that raised me.
